Your Bio Is Your Storefront
On Instagram, your bio is the only place where every visitor gets the same message. Posts reach a fraction of your audience; your bio is seen by 100% of profile visitors. For business accounts, this makes it your highest-value copy.
The 4-Part Business Bio Formula
Every effective business bio contains these four elements:
- Who you serve: "Helping [audience] with [outcome]"
- What you offer: Your product, service, or content type
- Social proof: Credentials, numbers, or trust signals
- Call to action: What visitors should do next

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using jargon your audience doesn't understand
- Being clever instead of clear
- Leaving the CTA blank or generic ("link in bio" with no context)
- Listing too many things β pick one focus
- Not updating seasonal offers or launches
Technical Setup
Switch to a Professional or Creator account to access the contact button, category label, and action buttons (Book, Reserve, Order). These appear below your bio and don't count toward your character limit. Use them to reduce friction between interest and action.
