Instagram lets you add a song to your profile that plays when visitors view your page. This adds personality and reinforces your brand identity.
How to Add Music to Your Profile
- Go to your Instagram profile
- Tap "Edit Profile"
- Scroll down to "Music" section
- Tap "Add music" or the music note icon
- Search for your desired song
- Select the specific part of the song
- Tap "Done" to save
Choosing the Right Song
Your profile song should match your brand vibe. Musicians should feature their own tracks. Lifestyle influencers might choose trending songs. Business accounts should pick instrumentals.
Song Selection by Niche
- Fitness coaches: High-energy, motivational tracks
- Artists/creatives: Indie, lo-fi, or your own music
- Food bloggers: Upbeat, jazzy, or cultural music
- Fashion: Trendy, editorial-style tracks
- Business: Clean instrumentals, no lyrics
Troubleshooting
If you can't find the Music option, update your app. The feature may not be available in all regions. Business accounts sometimes have limited music libraries — switching to Creator account can unlock more options.
